Imposter game
Mode
No word
The imposter knows their role but gets no secret word. They must blend in without being discovered.
Similar word
Everyone gets the same word except the imposter, who gets a similar but different word.
What this game does
How to play
Add at least three players, choose a word category, and pick a round timer. Each player privately checks their screen before passing the device to the next player.
Most players receive the same secret word. One player is the imposter, or impostor, and must avoid being discovered during the discussion.
Rules
During the discussion, each player says a clue related to their word. The clues should be specific enough to prove you know the word, but not so obvious that the imposter can copy everyone.
When the group is ready, vote for the player you think is the imposter. The imposter wins if they avoid the vote.

Word ideas
Good imposter game words are easy to describe but hard to fake. Try food, places, celebrities, movies, animals, travel spots, or everyday objects.
For harder rounds, choose words that are close together, like beach and island, pizza and pasta, or airport and train station.
FAQ
How many players do you need? At least three players. Bigger groups usually make the discussion better.
Do players need separate phones? No. You can pass one phone around, because each secret word is shown one player at a time.
